Holy heart strings! This was probably my favorite in the entire Broken series by Kimberly Lauren. We meet Lane in book 2 of the series as Aubrey's hot best friend and wonder what his story is. What I was NOT expecting was the heart twisting turns his story took! This was truly a rollercoaster of emotions for sure. Lane as a character was immediately lovable and you never find yourself NOT rooting for him to get the HEA is deserves after the tragedy he had to endure.

Regean as a heroine and love interest was also someone you found yourself attached to and wanting to protect yourself. The courage and strength she has is awe-inspiring. Without giving the twist of the plot away I will just say that not only do you fall in love with the main characters but equally so with the secondary. And a bonus, you get to catch up with the main characters from the first two books that scratches the itch of wanting them to have more books for their stories.

The writing is done in such a great way that you can almost see the scenes playing out in front of you. Instant favorite that I would recommend no matter how much time has passed.

If you like to feel passion after heartbreak; love after pain reading a Beautiful Broken Promises by Kimberly Lauren will taunt your inner most deep emotions, pulling the cords like a puppet running the beat to a jingle. Lane (Audrey’s best friend from Beautiful Broken Mess); lost so much many years ago and his fight has never given in, as the stakes are high, the emotions are deep and the pain is raw on the surface.

I absolutely loved the narrative, it was full of darkened emotions of trauma and forgiveness that I applaud in writing, especially so brilliantly done. It touches on subjects that are hard-hitting, and is definitely is an emotional read.

It is one of those books, that you stay up countless hours reading. I made the mistake of starting before I was about to go to bed; rest assured at 130am in the morning, when I was thinking I have a flight to catch back to Australia from the the US, I am probably doomed with this little sleep I still continued reading because I COULD NOT put LANE's book down for one second.

It was a beautifully written story full of heart, pain, forgiveness and strength that really dove into my heart and will forever be embedded in there. A definite favourite read and a HIGHLY Recommended Read. Xx

This is where this review is going to get a bit complicated. You see, there's a twist. A twist that pretty much is exposed early in the story, but by saying too much about what comes after it... well, that would just ruin it.

Lane's story is much more different than what we got with Jax & Jace's books. A little darker and intense due to some of the situations and the story line. But it was the same writing that I loved from her two prior books in the series. The characters were so well written, every single one of them. And Lane, yeah that guy. Well he kind of stole my heart along the way.

It was refreshing to have a very strong heroine. Autumn was tough as nails and not willing to back down when push came to shove. Lane was balanced between this strong alpha and a vulnerable broken mess of a man.

Kimberly Lauren is one of those authors that I adore. One that I constantly have to check to see if she has something new for us because I can't get enough of her writing. Usually with this genre of Romance we find ourselves with a good story and hot guy and the rest just exists. I love that this series not only gives good story and hot guys, but it gives you heroines that you can relate to, that you like and ones that you'd want as friends if they were real.

I've grown kind numb to stories where the heroine is lacking and reading this just reminds me that there are authors out there that are willing to give their characters strength and a backbone. This series is a must read, hands down.
Lane was in the previous book as Audrey’s best friend, this is his story. Four years ago his daughter was kidnapped and he had been searching for her since. Suddenly she shows up, along with her nanny Raegan and her son Braden. Lane had thought Reagan had been involved in the kidnapping, but the more he learned about her and what she had been through with their children his feelings changed. This is a good book, not as good as the first, but better than the second. I really liked the way Lane handled the situation as soon as he got all the facts, I liked how strong Raegan was and how the two of them almost immediately understood the depth of their feelings. Not to mention the protectiveness they both showed throughout the story.
I can't imagine having my child taken from me and searching for four years. The strength Lane had to keep going and keep trying to find them is admirable. He blamed Raegan for taking to a lady on a bench who he later discovered her identity but in the end Raegan had a horrible ex-boyfriend. I could not imagine what I would do if someone told me the information that Raegan and Land found out. Raegan was amazing. She kept her wits and stayed calm under pressure. She saved the children and kept them alive for four years. Raegan deserves the praise she received especially when you realize all she sacrificed at such a young age. This series was great. I'm a little sad it's over.
